Life of Slice September 2025

Welcome

Welcome to this edition of the “Life of Slice” Newsletter!

Arc and Slice are now on Version 5! And as you'd expect there are some big changes in recent releases. For more complete details on all the features and fixes, check out the announcement page and Arc and Slice - 5.1.0.

Please also note that we have migrated our support site to Jira, so now customers should go to https://global.care.cubewise.com/ for support. All tickets have been migrated and should be visible, assuming you and your customers register with the same email address that was used for Gitlab.

Now, onto the latest goodies!

Key Features in v5.1.0

Keep & Swap (Cube Viewer)

Right-click on rows or columns to access Keep & Swap—a dual-action feature that retains the selected element and swaps it with a hierarchy of your choice. This streamlines your drill-down workflow with a single click.

You’ll also notice our newly-designed context menu in the Cube Viewer. Check out the Options toolbar button to customize it to your liking!

Bedrock Installation Enhancements

The Install Bedrock feature now adapts to your TM1 version, and downloads your selected version direct from GitHub!

Note: Bedrock 5 is scheduled for official release on September 30.

Compare Processes and Rules (Arc+)

Quickly identify changes between two instances or across different dates.

This feature makes it easy to track modifications and maintain version control with precision.

Blame Report (Arc+)

Inspired by Git’s popular Blame feature, Arc+ now lets you generate Blame Reports for your TM1 developments.

See exactly who changed what, and when - line by line.

Spread the Word!

As always, while you perform your regular work and interact with customers, look for the following opportunities:

  • Identify bugs, performance issues & potential new features.

  • Include Slice, Test Hub and our AI features in sales demos & presentations.

  • Ask customers if they've tried Slice and offer to assist if they're interested.

  • Assist customers in reporting issues and feature requests.

Thanks again for being interested in Slice and how it can make your customers’ lives easier! Good software is always a community effort, and we have a great one.

Stay tuned for the next instalment of the “Life of Slice” Newsletter!
