Getting Started with Slice in One Minute

Slice is a straightforward Excel add-in for IBM Planning Analytics (TM1). It is very easy to install and can be up and running in under a minute.

Step 1 – Download Slice

Download the latest version of Slice from the Slice download page on the Cubewise website.

Step 2 – Run the Installer

Once downloaded, run the installer (slice.x.x.x.exe) as Administrator and follow the installation steps.

Step 3 – Open Slice

After installation, open Slice 32-bit or 64-bit depending on your version of Microsoft Excel.

In the Slice Ribbon, click Servers. If Slice is installed on the same machine as the IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) server, it will automatically discover all TM1 instances.
