Pulse Windows Silent Installation
In regards the silent installer, follow these steps:
A) Download the latest Pulse installer in a folder on the Windows server.
B) Place the following scripts together with the installer once the latter has been unzipped:
Pulse-Uninstaller.cmd
Pulse-Installer.cmd
C) Set the Pulse installation path in the scripts. Set the PULSE_DIR variable in the script and execute it in the terminal. Also verify the PULSE_INSTALLER within the scripts so that it corresponds with the installer name.
D) Uninstall the current Pulse installation using Pulse-Uninstaller.cmd before running the Pulse-Installer.cmd. (Reason: To avoid opening of Installer window to remove the existing Pulse installation). Make sure the script is updated with the right installation folder.
E) Execute the Pulse-installer.cmd script and once it finishes start the services (this has to be done via terminal, the silent installer does not start the services by itself).
F) After installation, the services should be started in the following order:
Pulse Application Server Service
Pulse Dashboards Service
⚠️ Dashboards appear empty after installation or upgrade?
If after completing the installation or upgrade you open Pulse Explorer and find that the dashboards are empty or not loading, this is most likely caused by the services not having started in the correct order listed above.
To resolve this, restart the services in the following order:
Pulse Application Server Service
Pulse Dashboards Service
Allow a few minutes for Pulse to fully initialise — the dashboards should appear as expected once all services are ready.
If the issue persists after restarting the services, please contact Cubewise Support.
