Install Bedrock

Bedrock processes are essential components of your application's infrastructure. This guide will walk you through the process of managing Bedrock processes within your application, including installing, uninstalling, live status and refreshing the process list.

Installing Bedrock Processes

To install Bedrock processes, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Install" button next to the process you wish to install.

  2. Wait for the installation process to complete.

  3. Upon successful installation, the process icon and Live Status column will change to reflect the installation status.

  4. Click the Refresh button to update the Status column and view the current status of the installed processes.

Understanding Process Status

The status of Bedrock processes is indicated by icons and text:

  • Installed: Indicates that the process is successfully installed on your server.

  • Not Installed: Indicates that the process is not currently installed.

  • Ignored: Signifies that the process is already installed on the server and is up-to-date, thus it is skipped during installation.

  • Out of Date: Denotes that the Bedrock process is installed on your server but is not the latest version available.

  • Updated: Indicates that the process, previously out of date, has been successfully updated to the latest version.

Uninstalling Bedrock Processes

To uninstall Bedrock processes, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Uninstall" button next to the process you wish to uninstall.

  2. Wait for the uninstallation process to complete.

  3. Upon successful uninstallation, the process icon and Live Status column will change to reflect the uninstallation status.

  4. Click the Refresh button to update the Status column and view the current status of the uninstalled processes.

Understanding Process Status

The status of Bedrock processes is indicated by icons and text:

  • Removed: Indicates that the process has been successfully uninstalled.

  • Failed: Indicates that an error occurred during the installation process because the process is being used by a chore or another component. You can click on the status icon to view details.

Refreshing the Process List

To refresh the process list and see the updated installation status of Bedrock processes, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Refresh" button.

  2. The Live Status column will show the current status when clicking on install and uninstall.

  3. The process list will update to display the current installation status of Bedrock processes in the status column.

Sorting Processes

You can sort the processes in the list by clicking on the column headers. Click once to sort in ascending order, and click again to sort in descending order.

Filtering Processes

You can filter the processes in the list by using the search box provided. Simply enter the name or any keyword related to the process you wish to filter, and the list will update dynamically to display matching results.

You can click on the installed process or chore name column to directly open it. If the process or chore is installed on your instance, clicking on its name will take you to its details page, where you can view more information and manage its settings.
